This handmade wooden urn was handcrafted by myself and chosen carefully with its beautiful highly figured burr horse chestnut wood. Then finished with a blue dye staining which brings out all the natural stunning patterns which has created different shades of colour and detailing within this piece.
The lid being form of a finely cut ebony wood with its hand cut thread giving its smooth textured finish.

This piece of wood was carefully picked from an estate in Kent for this handmade wooden urn. This particular piece was turned and hollowed, then six coats of natural blue stain has been applied in between the sanding stages creating a multi-layered alluring effect.
